Tsering Lodoe was born in India and studied at the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA), in Dharamsala. TIPA was established under His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama’s guidance in 1959, and is the foremost center for the study of Tibetan traditional art and music. Lodoe continued his affiliation with TIPA for over 23 years earning advanced degrees in all aspects of traditional Tibetan music and performing arts. In addition to his studies, he toured throughout the globe performing for TIPA. Lodoe is now living in Bozeman, Montana, USA.
